Larry Labelle ...
was recognized as an outstanding volunteer for his contributions to the club since he joined the Master’s Ski Team in 2000. Besides greatly increasing the number of kilometres he skied (and running a marathon) , he also became Stan’s right-hand man at Bingo (Sue is Stan’s right-hand woman). He joined the board as a director and initiated and directed the snowshoe trail development. In fact, he cut most of the trails himself! He has helped in many ways and has proven to be a real asset on the Board of Directors.
Thanks Larry! |

Volunteers totalled 108 over the past year and 64 were able to attend the 4th annual VAP at the Lion’s Den in Schumacher. Diane Luhta presented a slide show highlighting the year’s activities and progress. The evening ended with a skit featuring PSR’s version of The Apprentice. Lorne Luhta was The Donald (love that hair!) and Diane played the part of Martha. Volunteers were then subjected to a visit to The Boardroom were they heard those famous words “You’re fired!” It was a lot of fun and Diane thanks all of the volunteers for being good sports, her sidekicks, Mary Ann and Trish, for their input into the skit, and Tom Martin for doing a great job with the Lakota commercial.
